We're a family of ocean enthusiasts along with our three fairy mermaid-in-training daughters! We spend countless hours by the sea, mesmerized by its beauty and endless horizon.

Fairy Mermaids wa born from our desire to capture that magic for others. We create books, products and experiences that spark a love for the ocean and its creatures, while also instilling values like curiosity, kindness, respect for nature, and the joy of exploration.  Join us on this adventure as we learn about the wonders of the deep blue, one shimmering seashell at a time!

Shannon Mills

Shannon isn't your typical story spinner. By day, she's a whirlwind of braids and band-aids, wrangling three amazing (and occasionally mischievous) daughters. But when the giggles settle, she escapes to a world of talking animals and fantastical adventures as co-author of the Fairy Mermaids series with her husband, Ryan.

As an Air Force spouse, Shannon knows all about the excitement (and challenges) of moving from place to place. But one thing remains constant: her love of stories and the joy of sharing them with young minds. Fueled by her daughters' boundless energy and inspired by their unique experiences, Shannon crafts tales that celebrate friendship, courage, and the wonder of the world around us.

Ryan Mills

Ryan isn't your typical seafaring adventurer. By day, he's a dedicated Air Force officer, a role that spills over into his writing. But when work is done, you can find him catching waves on his surfboard, reeling in a fish, or simply cherishing moments with his wife, Shannon, and their three amazing daughters.

Ryan is co-author and creator for the Fairy Mermaids series with his wife Shannon. His passion for the ocean and his love for his children are the driving forces behind his stories. He hopes his adventurous tales will spark children's imaginations and ignite a lifelong love for the wonders of the underwater world.
